Those are from the wagons and yes that is stone it cut through! Then on to register cliff which was amazing but a bit wet. 
Then we tried to get to keystone SD but apparently they had a huge flood and we had to do a major reroute in Lusk. The adventure was compounded by the fact that we all needed a potty but the water restrictions has everyone using port a potties. And we waited and waited until I couldn't wait anymore and went Ina recycling potty. Yuck. Then we attempted to find the hotel we had billed and our gps was taking us all over and on roads that were very tiny and twisty and down big hills and up them. Finally we figured it out. We got here and the guy could not get the computer to work so we just said we would go grab a bite and come back. We ate and came back and we had room keys! Yay. However. We have no remote and he said he would fix that and we have given up and are going to bed.
