Denver-Day 3-Gardens, Butterflies, and Buckhorn Exchange-OH MY what a day!

It has been a wonderful busy day in Denver.  We decided to head to the botanical garden first so that it did not get rained out.  It was amazing!  Perfect weather for me.  It was about 70 and I love that.  The garden's were very beautiful and they had a very neat display of horses that looked like drift wood, the signs said they had some bronze in them.  I am not sure if the wood was dipped in the bronze or if that is how it was made.  Simple and stunning!   I loved the water and the plants.  I really enjoyed the water lilies!

Oh before I forget...I am sorry for my blog last night.  It was late and I did not fix pictures before the import!   Well I am having a technical problem loading pictures so I will post those tomorrow.

After the garden we headed towards the Butterfly Pavilion. We stopped at Rockbottom Brewery.  It was very good.  We tried a sampler of their beers.  I don't care for beer but it was fun to try.  I think I used to like beer when I was young and it was cheap:)

Then we went to see the butterflies.  First we went to the insect room.  There were lots of spiders!   BIG spiders and I can't believe I worked up enough courage to hold one!  Rosie!  There was a bee hive.  In case I have not told you.  I am going to be a bee keeper. Atwoods sells the supplies and I think it would be fun to keep bees.

Then we went into the butterfly part.  Wow they have so many different kinds of the butterflies!  They were very pretty and calming!  I think we all enjoyed it.

After that we drove into the mountains to view Red Rock they were getting ready for a concert so we didn't get to see that part, but it was very cool.  Until I saw a snake in front of me.   We drove through Morrison, then headed towards downtown area again to make our dinner reservation.

I enjoyed our dinning experience a LOT.  We ate at Buckhorn Exchange the oldest restaurant in Denver.  It was full of guns and animals.  The best part though was the service!  We had Dora.  She started off the meal with Rocky Mountain Oysters.  She delivered many one liners as she checked in with us.  Things like "Just a little nutty flavor?"  "You left some hanging?"  I had a salad with nuts so when she came by I told her those were my kind of nuts!   It was just fun.  Not to mention the food was very yummy.  I highly recommend going to this place for some good food and fun times!

Tomorrow we head towards Mt. Rushmore!
