Grand Tetons-Pollen Storm-Salt Lake City-Reno-Ukiah

Ok, this is a longer update because I am behind again.

We went through the Grand Tetons, and it was very pretty.  Our new favorite flavor, Huckleberry! This is where there was a random storm and the car was covered in yellow pollen!  YUCK

We stopped at Jenny Lake, of course.  Our Jennie had to go there!  There was a young boy there very excited about his journey through Yellowstone and the Teton's!  He told us all about the six bears they saw...lol.  I was happy for him sad for me.  So far we have not seen a bear or a moose.

We stopped for the night at Snake River Lodge, very fancy, very pretty. This is sounding familiar as I type it, if I wrote it already I apologize!  This is where I sneezed and hurt my back.

We drove to Salt Lake City and spent two nights there!  We saw the Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearse which was beyond brilliant!

We, well Cheryl did laundry and I rested the back.  After we finished up in Salt Lake City we had a LONG drive to Reno.  We really do try to break up our days into shorter drives but in order to get to Ukiah to visit with Jennie's Aunt and family we needed to get to Reno last night.  It was a lot of just plain ole roads.  We did see the Great Salt Lake and walked on it!  That was fun.  We got into Reno and checked in and Jennie relaxed in the room while Cheryl and I played a bit in the casino.

This morning we got up and headed to Ukiah.  It was a pretty drive. We did go down in altitude a lot!  We went from 7,800 to 1,200 in a span of 40 min.  It made all our ears hurt.  We stopped at Lake Tahoe and it was an amazing morning, perfect weather, Cheryl and I wanted to hop in the water but we had to get to Ukiah to meet up with Andrea.

The drive was curvy, and curvy...and well curvy.  We got here and Cheryl wasn't feeling all that great, not from the roads, just an upset tummy.  So we both opted out of dinner and are resting in the room.  I grabbed Applebees, and had quite the experience.  I will just say that the dude that helped me was a few crayons short of a full box.  And stop picturing that huge 128 one, or even 48, nope...lower.  He was in a box of 8!

Tomorrow will be visiting family and resting.  Then we head north to see the trees, and Muir woods, and the glass beach.

Don't forget to share the post to be entered into the drawing for a prize.  We have been picking really fun things for our prizes, you do not want to miss out:)   Also, don't forget to post your guesses on milage-this will be open until we return home, but don't forget! Greg Worley...you can not guess again!
