Picture updates

I am hoping this is mainly a picture update!

Walking into Mt. Rushmore

Mt. Rushmore!  So cool, the detail is amazing.

We made it a little past this sign before turning around:)

Crazy Horse

They have not finished it yet.  There is going to be a horse and his arm eventually.

Mt. Rushmore at night.  We liked the day better, the detail is lost in the lights.

Moving on to Yellowstone day 1

These Elk just were hanging out at the visitors center!

People all around, he didn't care, it was NAP time.

She on the other hand was making sure all was well.

Part of the thermal springs area

The colors!

The colors....did I say the colors?

Us

I stopped to get a rock.  Then saw this.  Ladies and Gentlemen I am a thief.  I have stolen many rocks over my lifespan and I apologize for my bad behavior!   I have not taken any rocks since reading this sign!

Bison!  We saw lots of Bison

I love that he has part of a tree stuck in his horns.  I can just hear him say, "I didn't rub my head on that tree, no sir not me!"

I can't get this to turn.  This is another sign that changed my behavior.  It tells you that dozens of people have been burned to death by leaving the path.  I stayed on the path.

This kid didn't listen!  Oh no he has fallen through the thermal pool!

Can you see his sister on the far left?  She is freaking out.  Dad is just walking away

Sorry can't turn it?  Anyone know how?  I changed it on my mac but when I go here to blogger it reverts back.  I loved the colors here.

I can't remember where this one is but look at all the colors.  They say it is because of viruses and bacteria.

I loved this uprooted tree

I broke another rule...I had not read the sign that said not to get this close to the animals.

He didn't seem to bothered by me...but right after this picture he turned to me and licked his lips.  I decided I did not want to be dinner so I got back in the car pretty fast.

Old Faithful!

Turn your head?   Ugh  This is the eruption

Stay tuned for more pictures tomorrow.  I have Yellowstone day 2 to edit.
