San Fransisco Picture update number 2-Walt Disney Family Museum

Still behind...still picture updates:)

First off I do have to say this about San Fransisco.  We loved this city!  I loved being able to walk all over to different destinations and enjoyed the weather a lot.  It even was chilly at several times in the evening.  Notably during the bus tour by night and the Giants game.  I don't mind it though!  I hate being hot so this was the perfect climate for me:)  Also, people in general were friendly!

I liked this quote I found at the Walt Disney Family Museum.

Walt as a baby!

This was a wall of about 750 animation drawings to create 15 seconds of film!  It was really hard to see the difference between each drawing.

This is said to be the first drawing Walt drew of Micky Mouse.

I would love to have this collection

If you can read this was cool!

This bench was one that Walt often sat on to watch his girls play at the park.  There was a sign near this that explained it, and I meant to get a picture but I did not:(   It basically was from the girls, that said that he never acted impatient as they rode the rides, he would just sit and watch them.

This is a profound quote!
"You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality."

A very awesome model of Disneyland

A close up of Dumbo

Its a Small World...I love that ride:)

A view of the castle down Main Street

Including the train station

His signed copy of Mary Poppins

You could control one of the Tiki Birds

When Walt passed away

This was from the Daily Oklahoman

This was an amazing place, I could go back and do it again and see more, we had limited time.

  1. Thanks for this,Aimee. I have always loved Walt Disney - especially when we saw the Castle on the horizon on our first trip to California in 1956. Where in SF is the museum? I would love to visit it. Funny, never enough time :( Keep posting and enjoy it all.
