Disney Day 1

If you know me you know I am a huge Disney fan.  I couldn't wait to go to Disneyland.  I have only been there one other time.  I have to say it may be taking Disneyworld over in my favorite list.  We went on July 1st and I expected it to be hotter than heck and also very crowded.  While it certainly was crowded in places it was not horrible by any means.  We got there right as a parade of strollers went down the street which is my favorite time to go.  The only time it got really nuts was right after the first night parade.  This is when Cheryl got pushed down:(   It was a very cool day, temps about 78 and that made it so nice!  We just really enjoyed the day/eve.  We got back to the hotel about midnight!

Cheryl and I got a little competitive on Buzz Lightyears Space Spin!  I won

This was in the lagoon for the Finding Nemo ride.

Look its Darla!!!!  ACK

The little girl next to us was so into this ride!  She was completely caught up in the magic of Disney for sure!  "We are underwater Momma!!!!"  "Momma I see a fish!"  "Daddy look its Nemo!"

Mine Mine Mine Mine...

Ok so we walk towards the castle and as usual Cheryl was a bit ahead of me and she got there and went...oh no theres ducks!   You would have to know that when we went to DC I have a bunch of pictures of ducks instead of the monument that we had gone to.  I love them...so cute and these were brand new babies!

But here is the Castle which is pretty amazing and totally different from DW

But look, there are ducks!

Something about these balloons always makes me want to take a picture.  This year they have gone wild with balloons!  They are now lighting up and are like 15 dollars!

When I was little, about 8 we went to Disney they had a ticket system, and most people wanted the tickets that got you on the "cool" rides like Space Mountain and then there was It's a Small World.  I would have spent the whole trip on that ride, I even bought the record.  I loved it that much.  While the ride in Disneyworld is amazing, I LOVE the one at Land!

Look I saw a moose!

and a bear!

The happiest cruise that ever sailed!

Cheryl got a turkey leg and I got...let me let you guess here:)

No idea where this was but hey its pretty

look duck!

Oh and Mickey, this is actually the tail end of the parade that is running twice a night right now.  Its called Paint the Night

Fireworks!

The finale was so huge it just looked white in the picture, but it was amazing!

I walked to get us a snack and got a pretty good shot of the castle lit up!

Ok, they had these apples and they were amazing.  I wish I would have gotten pictures of all of them, talk about detail...almost too good to eat.

Lit up castle with the Partners statue!

Start of the late parade.  Funny story...while we were waiting for the parade there was a dad and his three boys waiting.  The littlest one in the group was passed out in the stroller.  We think they were like 3,6 and 10 year olds.  The middle boy was passed out in daddies lap.  The big boy, who was wearing some funky disney ears was awake and playing when we noticed them.  He started to fall asleep...poor kid, when you are tired you are tired!   His head would flop one way, then the other, then at one point one of the ears had flopped over his face and he was leaning back.  Mom came by and woke him up for the parade but man he was so tired!

They had really cool costumes!

Tinkerbell

Peter Pan

These were very cool, they were like puppets but that they walked in.

This may show it better

CARS!

I tried a new setting on my camera

I loved this slinky dog

Ok we were at the start of the parade.  You could hear kids screaming ELSA all over when this float came out!

Olaf:)

He blew us kisses!

The end of the parade and the end of this blog.  Next up LA tour
